March 8th (Saturday) we will open up our doors (from 8 am – noon) and empty our closets (garages, storage units, etc.) to share what God has given us in abundance with our neighbors. It’s like a giant garage sale where everything’s FREE! Household items, furniture, small appliances, clothes–you name it, we’ll collect and give it away!
Guidelines for “Sharing”
Begin Now. Take a look around and consider how some of your possessions could be used to bless and bring joy to others. Whether it is furniture, household items, toys, or clothes, pack it up and donate it for ShareFest!
Gently Used. Your items should be clean (without stains or tears) or in good working order. Nobody needs more junk.
Hang it Up. For any “waist up” clothing items (shirts, jackets, sweaters, etc.), it would be helpful if you are able to hang up these items prior to dropping off. If you need hangers, we’ve got you covered, pick some up in the fellowship hall.
Drop it Off. Donations will be accepted starting Sunday February 16th, and continue Monday, February 17-Wednesday, March 4. Weekday drop off from 1:00pm-4:00pm (or others by appointment) at Fort Walton Beach Church of Christ.
Sign Up. ShareFest will only happen because of you. Consider volunteering to help with setup, picking up items, or during the event. Sign-up sheets will be in the Mallway soon, please pray about how you can participate. There will be opportunities before and during ShareFest. Roles are folding and hanging clothes, organizing items, transporting items, loading and unloading items, translation on day of event, bagging items, are just a few easy roles.
Need Some Help? If you have larger items to donate but are unable to drop them off, fill out a pickup request form (Found in the Mallway). Please submit all requests by Wednesday, March 4th.
Members: Members in need get early access, Friday evening, March 6th, from 5-7 pm to ‘shop’ for any needs they have. If there are specific needs of any members, please let an elder, deacon, preacher or Morales’ know and they will work to find those items.
NOTE: We are unable to accept mattresses, car seats or books other than children’s books.
Questions? Please see Ricardo or DeAnna Morales
